memorial day didn't turn out like it was supposed to. and it was just
one thing that went wrong, but it was a big thing, like a transmission
going bad in austin traffic in oppressive heat with cows in the trailer
sort of thing. we were supposed to ride horses.
so last monday, jeremy and i went to ride. but then we had to catch the horses and when you drive up in a truck moving slowly along with food, they know what's up. well, you know what's up if you're the one who usually gets caught and ridden afterwards. these guys usually get a free meal.
so after trying patiently for a couple of hours (trying to convince rhone and mouse that the buffet line didn't end with saddle and reins), we just got one to volunteer for the job.
so here is me on mouse, following behind jeremy. i know i'm a total natural. totally relaxed, going with it, not awkward and stiff looking at all (jk i am a borderline japanese tourist). mouse is the horse that j would like to start e.m. on.
i really did like it, i am hoping that we can go out to ride a lot more! maybe i can start making deliveries or go on closet cleanings with a horse and covered wagon.
