bike check

i've been back on the bike, recently, it's been two years! my fan club is usually waiting for me upon my return...

11 months

new in month 11. sharing her food, spitting out her food, becoming much more social,  experiencing far less separation anxiety, swimming, dropping a feeding, whole milk, pooping in the bath tub (and then trying to grab it).

a little tall, a little skinny, big surprise!

still same schedule, she wakes around 8, takes two naps a day (betw 45min and 2hrs long), and goes to bed around 730. takes three bottles, eats three meals (loves avocado!). she's so busy that i look forward to putting her to bed at night and then immediately start missing her and have to go in and touch her sweet cheeks and rub her back.

she thinks the dogs are hysterical. she is starting to give kisses. she is also starting to have tantrums. jeremy says she can pick out the kind of wood she wants her paddle to be made out of.

on the cusp

some new hobbies in the last few weeks.

"reading" and turning pages.

drinking from a cup and straw.

swimming.

climbing.

doug angry, doug smash, doug sad

i'm sorry the bachelor is becoming so underwhelming that i actually feel overcome with grief. usually each episode is riveting but i don't know what to say, i walk away from each episode feeling more and more apathetic.

i wish i had more to say about sad doug, but all i can think about is his giant tricep that looks like it could be hiding a little koala bear inside.

even the bachelorette can face hard times. emily's wardrobe budget must have been cut as they are now shopping at 5*7*9.

the highlight of the group date was when charlie was crying in the van on the way home from losing the sailing race. poor charlie, now you'll have more time to practice your Rs and Ls.

then the awkward two on one date with john and nate. it was pretty painful to watch, especially during an extremely quiet dinner in a giant and silent cave with no conversation. here they are all drinking at the exact same time to avoid talking.

then at the rose ceremony, the appearance of a giant ponytail.

charlie was cut. emily didn't know him very well and she may have caught a glimpse of the "mens wearhouse"stitched on the inside of his suit jacket.

and sadly, we know why michael from austin got cut. turns out he is playing for the other team.

i think kalon and alejandro will be the next to go. and john if he doesn't get some time with emily soon.

of course a horse

memorial day didn't turn out like it was supposed to. and it was just one thing that went wrong, but it was a big thing, like a transmission going bad in austin traffic in oppressive heat with cows in the trailer sort of thing. we were supposed to ride horses. 

so last monday, jeremy and i went to ride. but then we had to catch the horses and when you drive up in a truck moving slowly along with food, they know what's up. well, you know what's up if you're the one who usually gets caught and ridden afterwards. these guys usually get a free meal.

 so after trying patiently for a couple of hours (trying to convince rhone and mouse that the buffet line didn't end with saddle and reins), we just got one to volunteer for the job.

so here is me on mouse, following behind jeremy. i know i'm a total natural. totally relaxed, going with it, not awkward and stiff looking at all (jk i am a borderline japanese tourist). mouse is the horse that j would like to start e.m. on.

 

i really did like it, i am hoping that we can go out to ride a lot more! maybe i can start making deliveries or go on closet cleanings with a horse and covered wagon.
