let me see what i can do

my very favorite thing to say when i'm working at BU is "let me see what i can do." i say it when i have no idea how to respond to a person, i say it when i think someone is being really demanding and i just want to get out of the situation, i say it when i need to feel empowered. today i used it twice, on two different people. i found out later that they are friends. i wonder if they will refer to me as the "let me see what i can do" girl.
